W. Britains

NEW! IN STOCK!

Washington was appointed as Lieutenant Colonel of the Virginia Regiment in 1755, following the death of the previous commander. His first significant action came during the campaign to defend British interests in the Ohio River Valley, where Washington experienced his first taste of combat. His time with the Virginia Regiment was instrumental in shaping his understanding of military leadership, strategy, and the complexities of colonial politics, and laid the groundwork for his later military career and his eventual rise as the commander-in-chief of the Continental Army during the Revolutionary War.
