Black Randall Lineback Cows
Dairy cattle (also called dairy cows) are bred for the ability to produce large quantities of milk. Historically, little distinction was made between dairy cattle and beef cattle, with the same stock often being used for both meat and milk production. Our cattle are referred to as the Randall Lineback, one of the earlier known breeds of cattle in North America. This breed of cattle exists in unique variations of both brown and black color. It is thought the Randall Linebacks are a combination of Dutch, French, and English cattle and are a “landrace” breed descended from common cattle in New England.
